My Story

Admiration, adoration and respect for the ocean has been at the core of Winch Design’s DNA since its inception over thirty-five years ago. Our design teams look to the patterns, colours and textures found in the natural world for inspiration every day, and work tirelessly to create bespoke sailing and motor yachts for our clients, so that they can enjoy the richness of our oceans just as much as we do.

However, we know that the ocean isn’t just for our own enjoyment, and that we share it with a huge and diverse ecosystem, which in turn supports every other organism on this planet. The appeal of venturing out to sea will be greatly reduced if the coral reefs are bleached, the fish are dead, the coast lines polluted and the once crystal blue waters murky with oil and plastic. We support The Blue Marine Foundation because we understand the situation is critical, and that we must act now to ensure our oceans remain not only healthy but beautiful for generations to come.
