The state of the oceans is degrading at an alarming rate, and we see it as our responsibility towards future generations to help save the seas and marine life. To love yachts is to love the ocean and to love the ocean is to respect the environment!
In cooperation with our clients, we consistently apply our innovative resources to reduce the environmental impact of our yachts. We continue to invest substantially in research of energy technologies that promise a major step forward in sustainability with technologies such as fuel cells and hybrid concepts. “My great-grandfather built the world’s first motorboat in 1886. My dream is to be the first to build a yacht without a combustion engine.” – Peter Lürßen.
Our interest in protecting the environment goes beyond the vessels we build: Lürssen is a long-standing major partner of the Blue Marine Foundation.
Each member of our team of seven dedicated cyclists from all three Lürssen shipyards is highly motivated to take part in this year’s London to Monaco tour with the aim to raise awareness for marine conservation and motivate YOU to donate to this cause. Each and every contribution – no matter how small – makes a difference!
