About
Ocean pollution is a growing concern. One that we at Damen Yachting take very seriously and are proactively taking measures in the fight against it. Back in 2019 we started our #loveouroceans initiative to help raise awareness of the urgent need to protect and respect our beautiful oceans which already includes multiple clean-up methods to reduce pollution and risk to wildlife.
Our team this is year made up of Michel Coens, Deniza Avamil, Romke van der Linde, Peter Dijkwel, Mark Platschoore, Nicholas Grendel, Giovanni Berati, Graeme Pollock, Fraser Gow and Bill Springer. These dedicated cyclists are taking on the almost 1000 km bike ride (plus all the hours and kilometres of training required to even get to the start line) with the aim of raising awareness of and contributing to marine conservation so that our industry and future generations can enjoy and love our oceans too.
